NXRS 2026 and contests
by Kelsey Black 29 May '26

29 May '26

Hi all - Today we are just 4 short weeks from NXRS 2026, which runs from Thursday June 25 through mid-day Sunday June 28. I'd like to draw your attention to the contests that I propose to run at NXRS this year, pending enough interest in any of them. There has only been two of you who have submitted interest in participating in contests on the form at the OROC website. That's really not enough to go on, and as such, all contests are in jeopardy of not being run. Here's the direct link to the form. https://forms.office.com/r/rxsDietukx The link to the same form and the contest information is at this page: https://www.oregonrocketry.org/nxrs-2026-contests/ You can also find it on the homepage of oregonrocketry.org Please take a few minutes today or tomorrow to review the proposed contests and register your interest to participate. May Member Meeting on this Thursday
by Chris Abbey 04 May '26

04 May '26

Greetings Rocketeers! Shockingly, it's already MAY! This coming Thursday, May 7th, will be our monthly membership meeting. The link to join the meeting is included at the end of this email. This is the same meeting link as last month, and next month... every month in 2026 will use this same link. The meeting will start at roughly 7pm Pacific time, or whenever the first board member logs into the meeting to activate it. The meeting proper will be called to order at 7:30 after our usual social chit-chat time. The agenda will be approximately the normal fair, but there will be one surprise announcement you won't want to miss out on! Agenda: 1. Opening and new member greeting 2. Officers' reports 3. Launch report from AP Showers 4. Schools launch reports 5. Launch planning for Spring Thunder 6. Special announcement 7. Call for new business and closing (and yes, I'll try to get the last two months worth of meeting minutes finalized before this meeting.) https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_YmJmNWJmNWItMWEwYi00… Cheers, Chris OROC Secretary
